It is very intense and full of different nuances in many overlapping layers. The fruit is black in profile with some red highlights. It is dominated by black plums, blackberries and cherries. It forms a complete landscape, made up of aromatic herbs, fruits, some spices and damp earth. The olfactory sensation is very fresh and the oak is perfectly integrated.
CORIMBO I is the stellar wine of Bodegas LA HORRA, voluminous and at the same time fine and elegant. Coming from vineyards over 60 years old and made 100% from the Tinta del País variety.
Using experience and knowledge gained in La Rioja, Bodegas Roda commenced this project in Ribera del Duero in 1999. After years of research into Spanish regions also suited to the cultivation of Tempranillo, the ‘Denominación de Origen’ of La Horra in Burgos was chosen, not only for its history of viticulture dating back to pre-Roman times, but also for the potential development and adaptation of Tempranillo allowing production of wines characteristic of the Bodegas Roda philosophy.
