Notios (The Southerner) is a fusion of traditional Greek varieties resulting in a light, fresh and elegant wine. The Moschofilero contributes vibrant, floral flavours, the Roditis imparts a smooth citrus zesty character and the Assyrtiko delivers wonderful complexity, crisp acidity and a mineral finish.

Three of the finest Greek white varieties joined their forces for the production of NOTIOS WHITE. These two dominant varieties have been compatible for years and come from neighboring regions. Roditis Alepou originating from the mountainous Aigialeia, at an altitude of approximately 1000 m , and Moschofilero which originates from the Arcadian plateau, are blended harmoniously in all the wineries of the Peloponnese. In this traditional blend we add the now cosmopolitan Assyrtiko from Santorini, raised in a Peloponnesian way. This addition was warmly welcomed because it provided what was missing: Strength, Length and Depth.

The Ammonite symbol. The fossil of the Aegean Sea, whispering the ancient secrets of the Greek land, has travelled throughout the world carrying with it the name of Gaia Wines, along with Agiorgitiko and Assyrtiko. Gaia Wines was founded in 1994 by Yiannis Paraskevopoulos, Agriculturist from AUT and PhD in Enology from the University of Bordeaux III, and Leon Karatsalos Agriculturist from AUT. Both founders are examples of the Greek mindset of traveling and of gaining knowledge and experience, characteristics which are transformed into their wines, aiming to offer all wine lovers worldwide, the best possible result, each in their own unique way
