The wine is pale gold with youthful highlights. On the nose are aromas of white peach, pear and white flowers which continue onto the fresh palate. Complex and balanced, the wine is framed by bright acidity with a persistent, mineral finish and a subtle butteriness.

This wine is sourced from calcareous soils in Limari, one of the most exciting and northern wine regions in Chile, situated 350km north of Santiago. Despite its proximity to the equator, fog blankets the vineyards in Limari each morning, which helps retain freshness in the grapes.

The name ‘Clos des Fous’ is an ode to the 12 years that both Pedro and François spent studying and working in Burgundy, as well as to what their peers described as their ‘craziness’ in crossing the traditional Chilean vineyard boundaries to source grapes from those in the more extreme conditions further south and east.
