Cherry red, violet nose, intense, tense, youthful. Aromatic, fresh red fruit, some liquorice. A complex wine with great ageing potential. It expresses the terroir from Laguardia, Rioja Alavesa.

A selection from two vineyards in Laguardia, San Gines and Castejones. Total size of these vineyards is 8.78 ha. Average vineyard age is about 30 years. Elevation is between 550 - 600ms. Soils are mostly clay and limestone.

Launched by C.V.N.E. in the 1920s, Viña Real became known for pioneering wines from Rioja Alavesa. A careful balance between tradition and modernity has defined Viña Real’s ethos ever since.
